Phil Strong saw an opportunity to develop a business with quality pubs, character and individuality, free house style of operation and home-cooked food and a range of beers and wines.

Each pub has its own unique character and Chameleon Pub Company add to that with individual flair from the pub management, chefs and staff.

They are all pubs Phil likes to eat and drink in and where you can pick up the atmosphere!

We believe customers deserve a warm welcome from friendly staff with food, drink and accommodation provided of the highest quality.

Many of our pubs have been awarded the coveted Cask Marque, awarded to pubs which serve the perfect pint. The Cask Marque guarantees beer quality in the outlet and the opportunity to try before you buy.

The quality of our food, and the quality of our staff are also important to us. Our aim is to exceed our customers' expectations, as word-of-mouth is the best form of advertisement.

A high standard of décor, along with period features and an open fire where possible, add to our customers' enjoyment.

Food is important to us

Our menus are put together by our chefs and include home-cooked specialities and house favourites.

We serve regional specialities, such as local Cumberland Sausage, and local produce is used extensively in our kitchens.

We also serve popular international cuisine, traditional Sunday Roasts and a wide variety of bar snacks.

For the busy diner, orders can be placed over the telephone, by fax, or on the website, so that business lunches may be served shortly after your arrival.
